Hike & Sail (East Sardinia - 8 days)

May 31st - June 7th, 2025

You love hiking but this year you decided to take a sailing vacation? Or you are a passionate sailor but are missing something on your sailing trips? This year we offer you the perfect solution. One week sailing along the beautiful east coast of Sardinia combined with three hiking tours included in your sailing experience. This means, you can experience the beautiful coastline both from the boat and from the land. 

We start our tour in Porto Corallo from where we sail southward to Capo Ferrato for our first hiking tour. From here we sail north along the coast passing Capo Lorenzo to Foxi Mannu, Tesonis, where we will do our second hike. After a day of sailing to move further north we find ourselves in the beautiful Gulf of Orosei where we pass the famous Cala Goloritze and others. Our third hike brings us from Cala Sisine to Cala Luna, from where we will head back towards Porto Corallo.

 

Itinerary

Day 1 (Saturday)

Welcome on board! On your arrival in Porto Corallo, we will make a short tour of the boat so you get familiar with your new home for the next seven days. And you have the time to move into your cabins. If the weather allows, we will leave the port in the evening and sail to Feraxi, Capo Ferrato where we anchor for the night. Today it will be our turn to prepare dinner for you (the next days, we‘ll be doing it together). Just relax and leave all the stress of your everyday life behind.

Day 2 (Sunday)

Do you hear that? No car noise, no rushing around, just the meditative burble of the waves. Good morning! After a refreshing breakfast and maybe a first dip in the water, Emanuele will bring us to the beach from where we will start our hike of about 11km (ca. 550m elevation gain) around Monte Ferru. Coming back to the beach we can decide if we want to spend a bit more time on the beach or go back to the boat. In any case, we definitely recommend a refreshing bath in the afternoon sun.

Day 3 (Monday)

Today is dedicated to the sea. After breakfast we‘ll set sails to navigate northward. Our destination for the evening is Foxi Mannu, Tesonis, which is about 23 miles to the north. On our way we can stop at the beach of Quirra where you can take a bath, go snorkling or swim to the beach for a short walk.

Day 4 (Tuesday)

Have you already noticed how beautiful the sunrise is from this side of the island? It’s worth to wake up early! At least once during this holiday. Let’s first enjoy our breakfast before Emanuele brings us to the beach to start our hike. Today our path brings us around Punta Cartucceddu, ca. 13km. The hike takes about 4-5hours. Let’s take a refreshing bath in the sea when we come back to the beach of Foxi Mannu before Emanuele picks us up again. In the evening we’ll sail further north for about 2.5h to reach Capo Bellavista.

Hiking: 13km, 600d+, 4.5h

Sailing: 13nm, 2.5h

Day 5 (Wednesday)

Today we’ll just let the wind do the work. Sailing is on the schedule. We’ll navigate through the Gulf of Orosei, passing Pedra Longa and the famous Cala Goloritze, where we can also stop for a jump into the water. In the evening we’ll arrive in Cala Sisine, where we’ll anchor for the night.

Sailing: 18nm, 3.5h

 

Day 6 (Thursday)

Last but not least! We saved the most beautiful route for the end. Our hike starts at Cala Sisine from where we’ll have about 5km uphill along the coast, followed by 5km downhill that bring us straight to the famous Cala Luna. Take a bath and enjoy. Emanuele will pick us up here again. Now we can just enjoy the beautiful evening. In the evening we’ll start sailing back in southward direction and stay in the bay of Santa Maria Navarese or in the Marina of Arbatax where we can also go out for dinner.

Hiking: 10km, 630d+, 4h

Sailing: 15nm, 3h

Day 7 (Friday)

Last day sailing! By now you should know all maneuvers yourself 😉 Lifting the anchor, pulling up the sails, setting the route, switching off the engine….Let’s just enjoy this beautiful way of moving forward. On our way back, we can stop again in the bay of Foxi Mannu for a refreshing bath or a bit of snorkeling. If the weather allows, we’ll stay in Quirra, Capo San Lorenzo, for the night.

Day 8 (Saturday)

Time to say goodbye! After breakfast we’ll sail back to the Marina of Porto Corallo where we will arrive around 11:00h. We hope you had a beautiful time on board and are happy to welcome you again.

We are committed to offer you an unforgettable and authentic sailing vacation, where you can appreciate the precious and mostly untouched nature of Sardinia. On board, we share the duties of cooking, washing dishes and keeping the boat clean all together. We are happy to introduce you to the magic of sailing and you can help on deck wherever you want. However, you can also just relax and enjoy the sailing as a passive crew member.

On a sailing boat, we always have to adapt to the weather conditions. We would love to stick to the above described itinerary but please keep in mind that sometimes we have to make last minute changes due to wind and wave conditions. 

Food and beverages on board are included. This includes breakfast, light lunch (or packed lunch for the hiking days) and dinner (vegan/vegetarian friendly).
