Emanuele:
I was born here on this wonderful island (Sardinia) in 1958.
Despite being so close to the sea, I had my first major sailing experience only in 1984, when I crossed the Atlantic reaching the Caribbean and back again. Shortly afterwards, my first son was born, which is why my sailing activities were put on hold again for a while. In 1999, I finally founded a sailing school together with my good friend Franco Ricci, where I worked as a sailing instructor for five years. I also did regattas and ship transfers in the Mediterranean. During a stay in India, where I was lying in my hotel room with a cold and browsing the internet for sailing boats, I came across Kriter, which was for sale in America at the time. I embarked on this unknown adventure with a partner. After the purchase contract was signed, I brought Kriter from America to Europe on a cargo ship. This was followed by three exhausting years in the shipyard until Kriter was finally launched again in 2007.
Then, in 2016, I received an unmissable offer from a sailing student who wanted to buy a sailing boat, needed help with the restoration and someone to sail the boat with her to Barcelona. What this offer would entail was beyond the imagination of both of us (her name was Konstanze…;)
